What is seller extra inventory (SEI)?

At times, your Reimbursement Invoice (RI) shipment for TCGplayer Direct may include extra cards, cards of the wrong version or cards that don’t meet our condition guidelines. When this happens, we add the cards to your Seller Extra Inventory (SEI).

As a Direct seller, you have your own box in our fulfillment center for SEI. You can check the contents of your SEI by clicking the “Extra Inventory” link in the TCGplayer Direct Tab of your Seller Portal.

We ship the cards in your SEI to you automatically, free of charge, if either of the following is true:

  • Your SEI contains 200 or more cards.
  • You have not requested your SEI in the last 60 days.

You can also request to have your SEI shipped back to you at any time. If this is your first request in the past 30 days, we will cover the shipping cost. Otherwise, we'll deduct the cost of shipping from your next scheduled seller payment.

If at any time you would like detailed feedback for the cards in your SEI, please let us know and we will be happy to provide you with written descriptions regarding the various defects we saw on the cards to determine their condition. As with the first SEI you are sent, this is meant to provide better insight into how we categorize cards into the various conditions.
