Getting Started

Integrations allow for your store's goods to be listed and connected across multiple sites and platforms. The most potent benefit of these integrations is: wider reach for the specifically targeted buyers. This article will focus on outlining the language and meaning behind Third-Party Integrations, such as eBay and TCGplayer, as well as a few things to be aware of when working with these integrations in BinderPOS. This article will be divided in the following ways:

  1. Important Terms
  2. Order Fulfillment
  3. Returns and Refunds

Important Terms

When working with Overriding and Adjusting products, there are a few terms that are important to understand. Before defining these terms, lets look at how to find them with relation to specific products. In order to do so, please follow these steps:

  1. From your store's BinderPOS Portal, select Products
  2. From the Products page, search for the specific product under the My Products parameters
  3. From here, overriding and adjusting products is simple

The above image highlights a series of terms; you can find them defined and explained below:

  • Variant - This is a description of the quality of the card and the form of the card
  • Stock Qty - How many items you have in stock.
  • Sell - The retail price of the card that's being sold.
  • Sell Override - By putting a price in this section, you override the existing retail price that the system pulls. The price will not automatically update until this price is removed.
  • Cash Buy $ / % - This overrides your cash buy amounts, so you can adjust this if you want to pay more or less than the market price for a card in cash.
  • Credit Buy $ / % - This overrides your credit buy amounts, so you can adjust this if you want to pay more or less than the market price for a card in credit.
  • Buy Limit - This overrides the buylist buy limits, so you can buy more or less of a card, if needed.
  • Over-limit Cash Buy $ / % - Once you get to your buylist limit, this allows your store to buy cards over that amount at a lower price with cash.
  • Over-limit Credit Buy $ / % - Once you get to your buylist limit, this allows your store to buy cards over that amount at a lower price with credit.

Order Fulfillment

When fulfilling orders across both Shopify and Third-Party Integrations, there are certain processes and steps needing to be taken. Assuming that Shopify has been properly integrated with Third-Party Selling Platforms, Order Fulfillment should follow these steps:

  1. Customer purchases product through one of the platforms
  2. The stock is removed from the primary platform, secondary stock will be automatically updated (for example, a purchase from TCGPlayer will be updated in Shopify quantity)
  3. Shipping details will automatically be updated from the primary platform being used (for example, purchases made through TCGplayer with specific shipping methods will appear in the Shopify Orders section)

Returns and Refunds

Like with Order Fulfillment, there are certain steps and processes needing to be taken when returning and/or refunding orders across Shopify and Third-Party Integrations.

Returns in TCGplayer

Orders returned through Shopify will update the stock to both TCGplayer and Shopify, so to return money to the buyer you must initiate a return in TCGplayer to return orders from the integration. For record keeping, you must also initiate a return in Shopify as well. When an item has been returned we recommend not adding the item back to stock in TCGplayer; add the item back to stock through Shopify instead. If your store initiated a return to stock in Shopify, the stock will be updated in Shopify and TCGplayer.

The problem arises if a return to stock is initiated in both TCGplayer and Shopify. If this occurs, the stock will be set to its original quantity +1, which will skew the reporting and add inventory incorrectly. Because of this, we recommend only marking return to stock in Shopify. To clarify the process:

  • Initiate a return in TCGplayer and Shopify, but do not return stock in TCGplayer.

Returns in eBay

Returns in eBay are incredibly simple and straightforward. In order to stay up-to-date on all bookkeeping information, we recommend fulfilling all returns through Shopify, as this will automatically push them through eBay. If you go through eBay first, you will have to complete the return again through Shopify to keep everything updated.

Refunds in TCGplayer

When a refund is issued by your store, for whatever reason, the process is a little bit more strict. In the event of a refund, the order in which the refund is initiated matters. Refunds must first be initiated through TCGplayer due to the way that TCGplayer communicates with Shopify. Following this, your store will also need to refund through Shopify. To clarify the order:

  1. Initiate a refund through TCGplayer to refund the customer their monies
  2. Initiate a refund through Shopify to keep bookkeeping records up to date
Initiate a return in TCGplayer and Shopify, but do not return stock in TCGplayer.

Refunds in eBay

Refunds in eBay are incredibly simple and straightforward. In order to stay up-to-date on all bookkeeping information, we recommend fulfilling all refunds through Shopify, as this will automatically push them through eBay. If you go through eBay first, you will have to complete the refund again through Shopify to keep everything updated.
