About Catalog Update Settings
Your Catalog Update Settings are settings that you can opt-out of when BinderPOS has made an update to the catalog. If products from the BinderPOS catalogs need to be re-pushed, this push may overwrite any custom changes to the products in Shopify. Opting out of these settings will make sure that custom changes in Shopify are not overwritten.

Finding the Catalog Update Settings
Before you begin opting out of catalog updates, follow these steps to find the Catalog Update settings section:
- Log into your BinderPOS Portal dashboard
- Go to POS Settings > Catalog Update Settings
- From here you can click on and opt out of your desired settings

Apply To Catalog Drop Down Menu
This drop-down menu is for selecting which of the BinderPOS catalogs you would like to opt out of updates for. The following list is what you will see in the drop-down menu:
- All Products (including future products)
- Magic: the Gathering Singles
- Pokemon Singles
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Singles
- Dragon Ball Super Singles
- Sealed Magic: the Gathering
- Sealed Pokemon
- Sealed Yu-Gi-Oh!
- Sealed Flesh and Blood
- Sealed Dragon Ball Super
- Flesh and Blood Singles
- Sealed Baseball
- Sealed Football
- Sealed Basketball
- Sealed Ultra PRO
- Cardfight Vanguard
- Force of Will
- One Piece
- Arcane Tinmen Sealed
Checking these boxes when applied under All Products (including future products) will apply to all catalogs your store uses
When selecting a specific catalog to affect, the selection can be seen when viewing All Products (including future products)
Attributes to Opt-Out Of Catalog Updates
This section has many options for stores to opt-out of. Below you will see the Attributes and their Description:

Stock Keeping Unit listed for each individual variant. |

HTML description |
The product description that appears in Shopify and on customer’s website. |

Inventory Management |
The fulfillment service that tracks the number of items in stock for the product variant. This will not cause any problems if opted out. |

Variant price. |

Images |
Product image. |
|
Vendor |
The vendor shown on Shopify. |
|
Product Type |
The Product Type shown in Shopify and Advanced search in POS. |

Title |
The product title in Shopify, POS, and website. |
|
Tags |
Tags linked in Shopify, POS, and website. This is likely a common item to opt out of for those who use custom tags. |

Published |
Determines if a product is published on the website or POS. |
|
Status |
Determines if a product is in ACTIVE or DRAFT status on Shopify. |
|
Product weight |
The product weight number for a specific variant listed in Shopify. |

Weight unit |
The unit of weight for a specific variant in Shopify. (lb, oz, g, kg). |

Barcode |
The barcode of a specific variant shown in Shopify. |

Variants |
This will opt out of all Variant level updates listed above. (SKU, Price, Product Weight, Weight Unit, and Barcode). |
Opting out of updates for some catalogs, like Images or Price, may result in new products not having updated images or pricing information. The catalog team pushes products to stores as soon as they can, so you may have to opt back in to receive these updates and ask support to re-push your items if you notice images and pricing are not updating for new releases
