Getting Started

Integrations allow for your store's goods to be listed and connected across multiple sites and platforms. The most potent benefit of these integrations is: wider reach for the specifically targeted buyers. This article will focus on order fulfillment for the TCGplayer integration. This article will be divided in the following ways:

  1. Setting up TCGplayer
  2. Order Fulfillment
  3. Returns and Refunds

Setting Up TCGplayer

Once the TCGplayer integration is set up and enabled on your account, you will need to create Shipping settings in TCGplayer.

  1. Log into the TCGplayer account
  2. Click on the My Details tab in the TCGplayer Seller Portal
  3. Click on Shipping Settings
  4. Click Edit Shipping
  5. Add flat rate shipping based on sizes within TCGplayer

For Expedited Domestic shipping options, please enter your 3-4 business day shipping rates directly into your Seller Portal on TCGplayer. TCGplayer will use the expedited shipping rates provided from the eCommerce Provider. Using BinderPOS, TCGplayer will use the shipping rates established in the Shopify Shipping settings.

Order Fulfillment

When fulfilling orders from TCGplayer, the orders will appear in Shopify. Orders will be fulfilled through Shopify, but communication from the customer will be seen in TCGplayer.

Order Fulfillment should follow these steps:

  1. Customer purchases product through TCGplayer
  2. The stock is removed from Shopify and will update on TCGplayer once the order is placed
  3. Shipping details will automatically be added to the order in Shopify
  4. Fulfill the order through Shopify

The TCGplayer Sync can qualify for the Direct program. If you use Direct, orders in Shopify will be seen as "Do not Ship TCGplayer Direct." Fulfillment in Shopify will allow you to print shipping labels in the Shopify Admin as as use of any apps your store uses for order fulfillment.

Returns and Refunds

Like with Order Fulfillment, there are certain steps and processes needing to be taken when returning and/or refunding orders across Shopify and Third-Party Integrations.

Returns and Refunds in TCGplayer

When a refund is issued by your store, for whatever reason, the process is a little bit more strict. In the event of a refund, the order in which the refund is initiated matters. Refunds must first be initiated through TCGplayer due to the way that TCGplayer communicates with Shopify. Following this, your store will also need to refund through Shopify. To clarify the order:

  1. Initiate a refund through TCGplayer to refund the customer their monies
  2. Initiate a refund through Shopify to keep bookkeeping records up to date
We recommend returning an item to stock through Shopify. When returning the item through TCGplayer do not click the return to stock option, as this would add stock twice.
