What Is the Roca Pack Creator?

The Roca Pack Creator is an innovative sort option that allows you to create custom game packs for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Disney Lorcana, turning your bulk into unique packs that you can sell in-store or online.

How do I enable the Roca Pack Creator on my Roca Sorter?

You can reach out to us in your support Slack channel or email support@rocarobotics.com to request that the Pack Creator feature is enabled.

How do I use the Roca Pack Creator feature?

For pack creation, you will select the pack size and the number of rares desired within each pack.

For lot creation, you select the lot size you want and any rares will be split evenly among the lots.

Do I need to load the cards in any specific order?

No, we recommend using unsorted cards, due to the nature of pack creator creating packs without duplicates, having too many duplicates in a row can create additional moves.

How quickly are packs created?

The pack creator feature can process approximately 300 cards in an hour. This can vary somewhat if there are large amounts of cards that can’t be included in a pack, i.e. too many commons and not enough rares.

Will any packs contain duplicate cards?

No, all packs will contain unique cards with no duplicates. There may be duplicate cards between two packs but not within the same pack.

What happens if I load too many or too few rares?

The pack creator will make as many packs as it can with the cards that it scans., Any cards not able to be included in a pack will be moved to the rejection bin.

How do I tell where one pack ends and a new one begins?

If divider cards are used at the start of a sort, a divider card will be placed between each pack. Otherwise, you can manually search for the rare cards marking the end of each pack.

How do I use divider cards?

Divider cards should be placed in the input tray before the start of a sort. They do not need to be placed in any particular order or orientation. The sorter will detect the divider cards and handle them appropriately during the sort.

How do I request divider cards?

You can request divider cards in your support Slack channel or by emailing support@rocarobotics.com. A 55 card pack of divider cards will be provided for every v2.7 Roca Sorter and 3 packs for every Roca Sorter Max.
