8/22/24 | Conditioning Release Notes | Magic: The Gathering | Bloomburrow Manufacturing Defect

Conditioning Release Notes are designed to keep you informed about the latest updates on how specific imperfections and defects are handled in the conditioning process for the TCGplayer Direct program. We want to bring to your attention a known manufacturing defect in the new Magic: The Gathering Bloomburrow set. This defect has been observed in the following cards:

• Foil Basic Lands: A split or fault in the top right corner.
• Borderless/Showcase Foils: A split or fault in the top left corner.

This factory defect is resulting in an immediate downgrade in the condition of affected cards straight out of the pack. We recognize the impact this has on both sellers and buyers. However, after careful consideration, because this defect significantly affects card integrity, we will continue to condition these cards according to our published standards and encourage the same approach when conditioning these products in your inventory.
