About My Event Calendar

Your calendar is an important tool that allows for your customers to be as well informed as possible concerning events at your store. Some examples of events for your calendar include:

• Themed game nights
• Tournaments
• Prereleases
• Sales
• Parties

All of the events that you add to your portal.binderpos site automatically connect with your BinderPOS themes. This means any events you add to your portal site will automatically be uploaded to your event calendar on your store's website. All you have to do here is choose the design of your calendar.

My Event Calendar

Finding and Editing My Event Calendar

In order to find the customization screen for your store's webpage, and in order to adjust your calendar, please follow these steps:

1. From your myShopify homepage, go to Online Store > Themes
2. Find and click Customize
3. You will see the customization menu on the left of your screen. Click Event Calendar
4. If you do not see Event Calendar, scroll to the bottom of the customization menu and select Add section
5. From here, find and select Event Calendar Module to add the event calendar to your page

Customizing My Event Calendar

Customizations for your calendar are fairly slim and simple. Your main sections are:

1. Toggling calendar on/off
2. Title
3. Style
4. Image

Toggling Calendar On/Off

The calendar, like each of the other aspects of your website, is wholly optional. If your store has decided to forego a calendar, or if you wish to turn if off or on for a time, you can select the Enable event calendar box.

Calendar Title

Your calendar's name doesn't have to be limited to simply "event calendar." Your store has its own culture and personality. You are free to edit and change the name of the calendar to fit any kind of culture or theme that your store wishes. It is recommended that you play around with this until your store finds a name that suits your needs

Calendar Style

Under the Calendar Style section, you will notice the two calendar themes: Default Calendar and Big Calendar. We recommend that you look through both and decide on the one that best fits your store's needs. Below are a few points about each.

• Default Calendar: This calendar focuses on giving an overview of the month as a whole. Customer and visitors will be able to see all of the events happening on a specific date. This calendar also allows for customizability through background images
• Big Calendar: This calendar focuses on individual days and lists out that day's events. This is probably a better option for stores that house a large number of events on a daily basis.

It is important to remember that neither of these calendars are permanent; you can toggle between them based on your needs at any given time.

Background Image

Click Select Image to select or upload an image to sit behind your Default Calendar and give it some flair. Keep in mind that there is no recommended photo size for this section, so you may need to adjust or edit any images you wish to upload. 

The Background Image function only pairs with the Default Calendar. The Big Calendar is not compatible with any background images.
