Getting Started

Information Panels are excellent and handy tools for displaying and linking specific products, collections, or pages on your site's homepage. This space is best used for keeping your customers updated on new or hot releases. Once you have added the Information Panel block to your webpage, you will have two options for customization: Information Panel Settings and Block Settings.

Finding and Customizing the Information Panel Settings

In order to find the customization screen for your store's webpage, and in order to adjust your Information Panels, please follow these steps:

  1. From your myShopify homepage, go to Online Store > Themes
  2. Find and click Customize
  3. You will see the customization menu on the left of your screen. Click Information Panels
  4. If you do not see Information Panels, scroll to the bottom of the customization menu and select Add section
  5. From here, find and select Information Panels to add the block to your page

Information Panel Settings

Once you have opened your Information Panel Settings, you will see several areas for customization. These include:

  • Card Background Color
  • Card Border Color
  • Cart Text Color

Card Background Color

This section allows for the customization of the color of the background of each of the individual Information Panel blocks. It is important to note that any customization done in these general settings will affect every single added panel added to this specific block. If your store is hoping to include multiple Information Panels with different designs and colors for each, you will need to add more Information Panel Sections.

When customizing a section of your webpage and given the option to choose a color, you will have the opportunity to drag the cursor over general colors or input a HEX code for specific shades. We recommend playing around with this feature to come up with what works best for your store

Card Border Color

This section allows for the customization of the color of the border of each of the individual Information Panel blocks. The border here is incredibly thin, so any color changes will probably not be especially visible.

It is important to note that any customization done in these general settings will affect every single added panel added to this specific block. If your store is hoping to include multiple Information Panels with different designs and colors for each, you will need to add more Information Panel Sections.

Use as Background

This feature replaces the above Card Background Color with the Block Image. The chosen image will serve as the background, so remember to make sure all foreground text is visible against the image.
