How to Add and Edit Multi-Card Search

Getting Started

The Multi-Card Search is an improved decklist tool for customers to use on your store's website to submit lists of desired cards for purchase as well as share with friends. Once the Multi-Card Search is enabled, customers only need to submit the list of cards they wish to purchase as prompted by the website. In order to set up and enable your Multi-Card Search, please review How to Enable the Multi-Card Search.

A decklist is a list that you fill out with all the cards that you will be playing with in a collectible card game (generally a deck). These lists are usually comprised of cards from a well-constructed set, balanced, and playable set. It’s common for people to replicate decklists from famous matches or events or from those favored by famous players.

Currently, the Multi-Card Search only works for Magic the Gathering. We are looking to add more supported games in the future

While the idea behind your store's online deck building tool is the same, the Multi-Card Search is different and needs to be added and enabled in a different way than the previous Decklist

Finding Multi-Card Search

In order to find and customize your webpage's Multi-Card Search, please follow these steps:

From your myShopify homepage, go to Online Store > Themes
Find and click Customize
You will see the customization menu on the left of your screen. Click Add Section > Multi-Card Search

Editing Multi-Card Search

Unlike with the basic themes, Premium Theme 4 allows for further customizability of your store's Multi-Card Search. Once you have selected the section, you can begin further edits. While editing, you will see the following possible areas for customization:

Background Image
Background Opacity
Filter Title Color

Background Image

Within this section, you will further notice that you have the ability to add a background image. You can add this image by selecting Select image. Please also be aware of the size of the image that you choose. You will notice instructions and recommendations for image size in this section. It will look something like this:

If you choose an image that is larger than the recommended size, the quality and visibility is very likely to suffer as a result. Please understand that this size recommendation is based on optimization across all potential viewing platforms (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.)

After you have chosen your image, you will notice another customization option become available: Add alt text.

Adding alt text is a good way for your to include addition descriptions that will appear just beneath your logo. You can add up to 255 characters to this alt text feature

Background Opacity

Here you will notice a cline allowing for a numerical value between 0.5 and 1. These numbers represent the opacity of the background image that you have chosen for your search feature.

This section allows for your store to adjust the colors of the title text for this section. You can manually find a color or you can use HEX color codes if you known the specific colors you wish to use. We recommend playing around with these features so as to create an intentional customization fit for your shop.
