About the Testimonial Block

The testimonial block is a way for you to share and publish the positive things that customers have said about your store. Whereas any negative feedback is a means for improvement, positive feedback can be utilized to serve as self-advertising through this testimonial section.

Organizing the Testimonial Block

Finding and Editing the Testimonial Block

In order to find the customization screen for your store's webpage, and in order to organize your collection list, please follow these steps:

1. From your myShopify homepage, go to Online Store > Themes
2. Find and click Customize
3. You will see the customization menu on the left of your screen. Click the drop-down arrow to the left of Testimonial Block
4. If you do not see Testimonial Block, scroll to the bottom of the customization menu and select Add section
5. From here, find and select Testimonial Block to add the section to your page

Adding Testimonials

Before you begin to customize the section as a whole, you will need to begin adding the testimonials that you wish to display. To add them, please click Testimonial Block > Add Testimonials Block. At this point, the titles will be JOHN DOE; each time you click Add Testimonials Block, you will add an empty JOHN DOE block. To edit these, please click Testimonial Block > JOHN DOE. In each testimonial, you will notice four sections:

• Image
  
• Name
• Profession
• Text

Image

You have the option to add an image that correlates with the testimonial given. This image could be the face of the person who gave the testimonial or even a reference image of a product that is mentioned in the testimonial. Please note the recommended image size and remember that this is the optimal size for viewing across devices. The size recommendation will look similar to this:

Name

Here you can include the name, whether actual or fictitious, of the person who gave the testimonial.

Profession

Here you can include the profession, whether actual or fictitious, of the person who gave the testimonial.

Text

This text box is where you can input and upload the actual testimonial that the customer gave. Please note the ability to link webpages into this text box; this may be a good means of referencing any specific products mentioned.

When sharing testimonials given by customers, please remember to be considerate of their privacy. Name and professions can be fictitious while still using the actual customer testimonial

After Adding Testimonials

Organizing Testimonial Order

After you have finished adding all of your testimonials, you can adjust the order that they are shown in (from left to right) by dragging and reordering them using the 6 dot symbol to the right of the customers' names. You can see this symbol here:

Customizing Testimonial Block Presentation

After you have finished adding and organizing your testimonials, the last step to consider is how you wish to present them. In order to do this, please click on Testimonial Block. Here you will notice one section: Main Title.

Main Title

This is the title that will cover the entire Testimonials Block section. You can stick with the default Our Clients Say, or you can adjust and customize this title to fit the needs and culture of your store. This section is totally up to your shop.
