Getting Started
The first two categories for customization in the Newsletter Popup are: Enabled? and Show on all pages?
Both of these sections can be toggled On/Off. If you do not wish to include a newsletter popup, please select Off for Enabled? IF you do decide to switch the newsletter popup to Off, you can exit this article here.
After switching the Enabled? to On, you will see Show on all pages? By toggling this On, visitors to your website will see the same popup every time they come to a new webpage. We recommend customizing this to fit the needs of your store.
Customizing the Newsletter Popup
Following the decision to enable your newsletter popup, you will see several categories for customization. These include:
- Image
- Background Color
- Text Color
- Image Position
- Text Position
- Main Title
- Sub Title
- Show Social Icons
Image and Image Position
You can add an image to your newsletter popup and select the positioning of that image. The options for position are left, right, or cover. The left and right options allow for an image to be placed to the side of the message given in the newsletter. The cover option, however, functions as a background image for your newsletter popup. Please note that there are recommended image sizes and they different between left/right and cover. If you choose an image that is larger or smaller than the recommended size, the quality and clarity may be affected. This recommendation will look something like this:
The recommended image size is the optimal size for display across several devices, such as smartphones, PCs, graphing calculators, etc.
Background Color
In this section you can customize the color of the popup's background. This section is totally customizable, so you will be able to choose the color that works best for your shop's needs.
If needed, this section allows for your store to input a desired HEX code. This may allow you to locate an extremely specific color
Text Color and Position
In this section you can customize the color of the popup's text. This section is totally customizable, so you will be able to choose the color that works best for your shop's needs. You can also adjust the position of the text. You can choose between right, left, or center.
It is important to note, however, that you cannot have both the image and the text on the same side. You can only adjust the text position if you have set the image Position to cover. If you have Image Position set to right then Text Position will be left and vice versa
Main Title and Sub Title
This section is dedicated to the text of your newsletter popup. The Main Title will be at the top of the newsletter in larger, bolder letters, while the Sub Title will be just below in smaller, less bold text. You can craft this text to match the atmosphere and culture of your store.
Show Social Icons
This is a Toggle On/Off feature for highlighting the social media accounts that you have linked to your webpage. If you decide to show these Social Icons, each will be an individual link to the account you have input under the Theme Settings section at the bottom of the customization side-menu.
If you have not input your social media accounts in the text boxes under Newsletter Popup > Theme Settings, then none of the icons will be present when you set Show Social Icons to On
