International Package Forwarding FAQs on TCGplayer

International package forwarding allows for buyers outside the U.S. to purchase available U.S. inventory, which means your listings may be purchased by non-US buyers using a U.S. address provided by the package forwarder who then consolidates, packs and ships those orders to the international buyer.

Using International Package Forwarding Services

If you live outside the U.S. and use a package forwarding service (such as MyUS, BuyandShip, Estafeta, or similar) to receive your TCGplayer orders, please note the following important information:

  • Buyer Protection Coverage:
    • Orders shipped to a package forwarding address are not covered by the same level of TCGplayer Buyer Protection as orders shipped directly to your international address.
    • Our normal guarantees — including replacements and refunds — only apply to the domestic leg of the shipment (from the seller to the package forwarder).
  • Responsibility After Delivery:
    • Once your order is marked as delivered to your package forwarder by the carrier (for example, USPS), TCGplayer and the seller are no longer responsible for the package.
    • Any damage, loss, or condition issues that occur after the package reaches your forwarding service must be resolved with your package forwarder directly.

Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes

As the buyer, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by your country’s authorities.

These charges depend on several factors, including:

  • The item’s price, weight, and dimensions
  • The country of origin
  • Your local import laws and tax regulations

Your package forwarding service, carrier or your country’s customs office can provide more information about these potential costs before you complete your purchase.

  1. What are my protections as a buyer when using package forwarding?
    • Please be aware that if you are utilizing a package forwarding address your order is not covered by the same level of Buyer Protection as an order that ships from the US to your actual international location.
    • TCGplayer is not responsible for damage, condition issues, or loss that occurs to goods after they're delivered to you or your package forwarder. What this means for you as a customer is that TCGplayer isn't able to provide a replacement of (or refund for) any goods confirmed as delivered by the USPS via tracking to you or your package forwarder by the shipping provider. If you experience any post-delivery issues, please contact your package forwarding provider.
  1. What about Customs and import charges?
    • As a buyer, it's your responsibility to check which customs and import charges may apply, and to pay them. These import charges are generally based on the item's price, weight, dimensions, and country of origin, as well as any taxes, duties, and fees added by your country. Your seller might be able to give you some information about import charges, but before you buy an item, it's a good idea to check with your country's customs office for more specific details.
    • "International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
    • "Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be, prior to buying."
  2. How do I use Buy & Ship to purchase inventory?

Seller FAQ

Expanding our international package forwarding partnerships allows for wider inventory made available to all buyers. Your listings may be purchased by non-US buyers through package forwarding services where the customer obtains a U.S. address and the package forwarder then consolidates, packs and ships those orders to the international buyer..

  • What if the buyer hasn’t received their order?
    • If a buyer disputes an order that shows delivery to the international package forwarder, they will need to reach out to TCGplayer customer service to resolve the issue. As a seller, your responsibility is to ensure delivery to the forwarder.
