Roca Sort to Ship User Guide

Objective

Roca Sort To Ship is designed to streamline the process of organizing and shipping orders. By importing a Comma-Separated Values (CSV) pull sheet file from the TCGplayer Seller Portal, users can efficiently sort cards into specified orders. Divider cards will separate each order, facilitating easy shipment.

Process

Access Seller Portal:

  • Ensure the new user interface (UI) is enabled in the top right corner.
  • Select the orders you wish to process (up to 800 cards with Roca Sorter, up to 2,400 cards on Roca Max). Download the pull sheet and packing slips using the links at the top.

Pull Cards

  • Retrieve all cards required for the orders listed in the CSV.
  • Arrange the cards in the sequence they appear in the CSV (TCGplayer Direct ordering).
    • If you cannot locate a card that needs to be pulled, place a yellow "Discrep" card in its place (see below).
  • Divide the cards into stacks: 100 cards per stack for Roca Sorter or 200 cards per stack for Roca Max.
  • Load the stacks into the input bins sequentially: first stack in Bin 1, second stack in Bin 2, etc. Ensure the first card in the CSV list is on top in Bin 1.

Insert Divider and Warning Cards

  • Roca Max:
    • Place divider cards in the back row of columns 4 and 10, as illustrated.
    • Insert warning cards in Bin 7, as illustrated.
  • Roca Sorter (image coming soon, but numbering from left to right remains the same)
    • Place divider cards in the back row of columns 1 and 5, as illustrated
    • Insert warning cards in bin 3, as illustrated.
  • Note: Roca Sorter accommodates up to ~100 cards per bin, while Roca Max accommodates up to ~200 cards per bin.

Network Setup

  • Ensure the device is connected to the same network as the Roca Sorter.
  • Reach out to Roca customer support for assistance to get your device connected to the same local network as the machine.

Upload and Sort

  • Navigate to the Roca page on your device (contact support for local access assistance).
  • Locate the “Sort to Ship” card sort on the UI. (see screenshot below)
  • Click “Choose File” and select the CSV file containing the sort orders.
  • Upload the file and click "Start." The sorting process will commence shortly.
  • If the CSV file does not match the inserted cards, the machine will abort the sort after scanning the top cards.

Results

The machine will organize all orders from the file into distinct groups, with cards sorted according to their order number in the CSV. Orders are listed on the last line of the file and are arranged in the sequence they appear. This order should be the same as the Packing Slips print. Divider cards will separate each order, and any extra, unknown or other exception cards will be placed at the end of the sort after the last order. The rejection bin functions as a standard output bin and should be treated as the first output bin.

Special Sort To Ship Cards

Sort To Ship includes three special cards for operation:

  • Order End (Green): Serves as a divider between orders.  Sometimes called divider card.
  • Error (Red): Signals an error, such as a missing or incorrect card.
  • Discrep (Yellow): Optional cards used to represent missing cards in the input. Place Discrep cards in positions where cards are missing to allow the operation to proceed as if the correct card were present. For instance, if you have 8 copies of Evolving Wilds in the pull sheet but only 6 in stock, place 2 Discrep cards where the missing cards would be. This enables order processing while allowing a human to resolve missing card issues later (e.g., partial refund).
