Leaving feedback for sellers

Leaving feedback is a great way to share your buying experience with a seller on TCGplayer. Your feedback helps others make informed decisions and tells your seller how they did.

Every time you buy something on TCGplayer, you can leave a 1-5 star feedback rating for your order. You can also add a comment about your experience.

Tip
If you've had an issue with your order, we recommend contacting the seller before you leave negative feedback. Positive reviews and feedback help sellers do more business, so they're usually happy to work with you to resolve your issue.

You'll find everything you need to know about leaving feedback in our guides below, including how to view and change your feedback if you need to.

Buyers have 60 days after a transaction to leave feedback. However, they are not required to leave comments. If the buyer doesn't provide any feedback five days after an order is marked complete, we'll automatically rate the sale a 5.

How to leave feedback

After you make a purchase, we'll send you an email reminding you to leave feedback for the seller.

You can also leave feedback through your order history page. You’ll see the option to leave feedback next to your order if you haven’t already done so.

To leave feedback for a seller through your order history, locate the order you want to rate:

Select the Rate Transaction button for the order.

You can then rate the overall transaction from 1-5 stars. You may want to include written feedback about the item you ordered, aspects of the transaction: including whether the item arrived on time, the accuracy of the item description, shipping costs, and the seller's communication (if applicable).

Handling feedback disputes with sellers

When you leave feedback, you’re letting others know about your buying experience with a seller. If the seller doesn’t believe the feedback was fair, they may ask you to revise your feedback or escalate the feedback to TCGplayer for review.

If there’s a problem with your order, contact the seller first and try to resolve the issue before you leave feedback.

Why a seller might dispute your feedback

Positive ratings and good feedback help a seller grow their business and reputation on TCGplayer.

If something goes wrong and they receive negative feedback as a result, they may choose to follow up with you to resolve an issue or ask for a feedback revision.

Here are some reasons why a seller may request that you update your feedback:

  • The issue(s) that led to your feedback was beyond their control
  • They’ve resolved your issue, and would like you to revise your feedback
  • They feel you’ve been unfair or overlooked some information
  • They’re concerned your messages or feedback did not meet our community guidelines

What happens when a seller asks for a feedback revision

Sellers may request you change your feedback for the order through the messages associated with the order on your TCGplayer order history. When sellers send a message asking for you to revise your feedback, review the message with our Seller Feedback Policy in mind. If the seller has resolved order issues according to our policies or the feedback you provided was about factors beyond their control, you should update your feedback accordingly.
