You will see this number for all orders placed in states where TCGplayer is not required to collect taxes and if you have requested TCGplayer to collect tax on your behalf. This data point will be available for all orders placed prior to when TCGplayer integrates with Thomson Reuters for simpler tax collection.

After the integration, orders placed with you will need to meet additional criteria to qualify for seller tax:

  • you have requested TCGplayer to collect taxes for you, and
  • the buyer resides in the same state as your business, and
  • the order does not qualify for TCG tax (see below)

TCG Tax Amt - The sum of all TCG tax amounts for orders placed with you from buyers in a particular state during the time frame specified for the report.

Orders placed with you will qualify for TCGplayer tax if they meet one of the following criteria:

  • the buyer resides in a state where TCGplayer is registered as a Marketplace Nexus, or
  • the order is fulfilled through the TCGplayer Direct warehouse and the buyer resides in a state in which TCGplayer is registered as a Physical or Economic Nexus

Note: Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE tax collection does not apply to taxes that appear under either Seller Tax Amt or TCG Tax Amt.
