TCGplayer Safeguard Untracked Order Coverage FAQ

What are the seller eligibility requirements?

To be eligible for the untracked order coverage under the TCGplayer Safeguard, sellers must meet the following conditions:

• Be based in the United States or U.S. territories
• Have 1,000 lifetime orders
   

What are the order eligibility requirements?

The TCGplayer Safeguard coverage for untracked orders applies only to eligible orders placed on or after August 17, 2026. Orders placed before August 17, 2026 are not eligible for this coverage.

Sellers who reach the 1,000 lifetime orders threshold after August 17, 2026 will become eligible on a rolling basis beginning on the date they meet the requirement; eligibility will not be applied retroactively to prior orders.

To receive coverage on untracked orders, eligible sellers must:

1. Provide an appropriate resolution for the missing package to buyers in the form of a refund.
2. Escalate the message thread for the order requesting coverage or submit a ticket to our Customer Service Team.
3. After taking these actions, you will receive your credit via the TCGplayer Safeguard.
    

Does this change the requirements for adding tracking to an order?

Per our Shipping Guidelines, we recommend tracking be applied to orders over $20, but require tracking for orders over $49.99. 

With this policy update, orders over $49.99 still require tracking through an approved shipping partner for coverage. The new untracked order coverage only applies to orders $49.99 and under.
