Product Eligibility in Managed Inventory

What are ‘ineligible’ products?

“Ineligible” products refers to cards that are not currently being accepted to be stored and sold through the TCGplayer Managed Inventory program.

How do I know what products are eligible vs. ineligible?

The Managed Inventory program is currently accepting all cards from Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, with the following exceptions:

Ineligible Products:

  • Moderately Played, Heavily Played, and/or Damaged condition cards
  • Non-English Language cards
  • Oversized cards
  • Metal cards
  • Thick-stock cards
  • Serialized cards
  • Sealed products or ‘Slabbed’ products
  • Products that have been signed, marked, or otherwise modified after printing.

A CSV with a list of ineligible products can be downloaded here. This list will be updated on a monthly basis to account for new products and set releases for the game lines accepted in Managed Inventory. We recommend you check and filter your inventory against this list prior to the Submission process to avoid having to remove ineligible products later in the process.

Please note, as this Ineligible Products CSV is updated monthly, sets and products that have been released between updates may not be present on the list yet. We advise that you assume that products from newly released sets that fall under the broader categories listed above (eg. new Serialized cards) are ineligible, even if the list has not yet been updated to include them.

Additionally, the “Export Filtered CSV” tool in the Pricing tab of your seller portal will automatically filter out ineligible products, as long as the “Export for Managed Inventory Submission” box is checked. Any ineligible products in a submission CSV will also be automatically filtered out during the Submission process, which will subsequently need to be removed from your physical shipment. We are currently working on tooling to supply the list of products removed during the Submission process, but it will not be available during the pilot.

How should I handle ineligible products from my submission?

Upon receiving notification that ineligible items have been filtered from your submission, it is essential that you cross-reference the submission’s packing slip with your physical shipment. Ensure that any products removed by the system are also physically removed from your shipment prior to sending. Ineligible products received by TCGplayer will be subject to additional fees and will impact your shipment’s accuracy rate.
