Fee Rates & Schedule

This document serves as a guide to all of the applicable fees for cards that are processed, stored and sold through the Managed Inventory service.

Schedule

The following is a breakdown of when and how fees are charged.

Receiving, Discrepancy, Noncompliant Packaging, Storage and Return or Disposal Fees are all invoiced monthly on the 1st of the calendar month. The invoice is required to be paid within 30 calendar days.

Invoices must be paid via credit or debit card.

Fee Rates

Receiving

• Receiving Fee - Charged for the cost of receipt, inspection, and the putaway of a card. This fee only applies to cards accepted through the receiving process.
• Discrepancy Fee - Charged to offset the cost of operational slowdowns due to card errors within a given package. Only charged for card errors.
• Noncompliant Packaging Fee - Charged to offset the cost of operational slowdowns resulting from improperly packaged or shipped package(s). Only charged for package errors.

All discrepancy types (Missing Card, Extra Card, Incorrect Card, Incorrect Condition, and Ineligible Product) are charged the same $0.10 fee when they occur. Impacted cards will not be subject to a receiving fee.

Storage

Charged to offset storage costs. This fee is applied monthly starting 90 calendar days after a card is putaway. Cards are sold on a “first in, first out” (FIFO) basis if multiple copies exist within the same condition.

Product Return / Disposal

Charged to cover the cost of returning cards to the seller or material disposal. This fee is applied to requested inventory returns or disposals by TCGplayer. Sellers will also be charged the return postage for all product returns.

* $5 minimum–If the per card fees do not add up to $5.00, you will be charged $5.00.

For Ineligible Product returns, you will only be charged the cost of the return postage.

Sales and Fulfillment Fees

The following fees are subtracted from sales payout.

• Transaction Fee - A per-transaction fee charged on each sale. A transaction is defined as any number of items purchased by the same buyer from the same seller at checkout using the same shipping method. In TCGplayer Managed Inventory, this fee is only applied to cards sold for $2 or greater.
• Marketplace Fee - Standard commission fee applied to all orders completed on TCGplayer’s marketplace. For TCGplayer Managed Inventory sales, this fee is only applied to cards valued at $2 or greater.
• Managed Inventory Sale & Fulfillment Fee - Charged per sold item to offset the cost of TCGplayer fulfilling the order on behalf of the seller. Varies based on card value and other factors. Applies to all products sold through Direct.

Item Price $0.40–$1.99

* Cards cannot be sold below $0.40 through Direct, including Managed Inventory.

** Marketplace Fee and Transaction Fee are waived.

Item Price $2.00+

Item-based fees for cards sold at $2 and greater will change based on your quarterly Managed Inventory total sales value, as illustrated in the table below.

When you first join TCGplayer Managed Inventory, the item-based fee will be $0.70. If your sold value meets the thresholds below, the item-based fee will be lowered the following quarter.

* Quarterly sales tier and fee discounts apply to the following quarter, for example:

If your Managed Inventory sales total was over $25k in Q1 (Jan - Mar), you would pay $0.60/card in Q2 (Apr - Jun).

The total fee for a card sold through Managed Inventory can be calculated as follows:

The following fee estimates assume that there were no discrepancy fees associated with the card, and that storage fees have not yet begun to accrue for the card.

Cards over $2 in the example are represented in ranges, as the total fee cost is dependent on Quarterly MI sales tier discounts.
