When do comic books launch on the TCGplayer Marketplace?

  • Comic books will be available for purchase on the TCGplayer Marketplace on October 24, 2022.

When can I start listing comic books on the TCGplayer Marketplace?

  • Starting October 3, 2022, you will be able to upload your comic book inventory to your TCGplayer seller account.

What comic books can I list?

  • Starting October 3, 2022, you will be able to list single-issue comics and trade paperbacks from the Marvel and DC Universe. We will continue to expand the catalog in the coming months.

How do you upload comics on the first day of pre-listing?

  • As a Level 4 Seller, you can upload a single CSV with inventory quantities and prices via the Pricing Tab of your Seller Portal. For more information on uploading inventory with a CSV, please reference our help file.

Will the shipping and conditioning guidelines be available at launch?

  • Yes. TCGplayer will have shipping and conditioning guidelines available before October 3, 2022. In the meantime, you can find out more information on Shipping Guidelines here.

Can I list graded comics?

Will there be integrated shipping?

  • TCGplayer does not support integrated shipping at this time.

Will Pro Websites support comics?

  • Yes. All Pro Tools, except for Quicklist, will be available for comics at the time of launch.

Will there be a BinderPOS integration for comic books?

  • Though there will not be a BinderPOS integration for comic books at the time of launch, we will continue to work diligently toward adding this product line in the future.

Will there be CrystalCommerce integration for comic books?

  • There will not be a CrystalCommerce integration for comic books at the time of launch.

Will there be any unique comics or TCGplayer exclusives available on our Marketplace?

  • At the time of launch, we're focusing on DC and Marvel single issues and trade paperbacks. We will continue to expand our catalog and offerings down the road.

Will there be stock photos for variant covers?

  • Yes. You can list your comic book inventory using our pre-curated catalog of product images, which includes stock photos for variants, or you can upload a customized photo of your product with Listings with Photos.

Will sellers be able to list presale items?

  • At the time of launch, comic books will not be available for presale.

How is Market Price calculated?

  • TCGplayer Market Price shows you the value of a product based upon actual recent sales,
    drawing from thousands of transactions each day across thousands of individual sellers on our platform.

    We take the prices at which a product has been selling, averaged across multiple recent transactions, and use that information to show you the most reliable market value of that product. Learn more about TCGplayer Market Price.

Will new comics be available on TCGplayer the same day they are in store?

  • At the time of launch, new comics won't be available on TCGplayer the same day they are in store. However, we continue to work diligently to support this soon.


Will trade paperbacks and graphic novels be available at launch?

  • Single issue comics and trade paperbacks from the Marvel and DC Universe will be available at launch on October 24, 2022. Graphic novels will not be available at launch. However, we will continue to expand the catalog in the coming months. You can list hardcover comics as a Listing with Photos.

Will there be a way to upload comics via CSV with URLs attached that have photos of the comics?

  • No, we do not support that today, unfortunately.

Will sellers be able to sell a complete mini series? (1-25, 1-5, etc)

How are variants / series listed?

  • The series will be listed as the "Set Name" for the product. Variants will each get their own Product ID in our catalog, and the variant information will be included in the Product Name.

What is the max image size, and how does it compare to the field at large?

  • Our stock photos are 400 x 600 px. For Listings with Photos, photos should be .jpg format (and variants of this extension). They should be no smaller than 700px wide and no larger than 15MB.

Are there fees for selling comics on the TCGplayer Marketplace?

  • The TCGplayer Marketplace has no listing fee or monthly fee. Commission fees are applied to your transaction based on where the sale took place and which programs you are enrolled in (Direct by TCGplayer, Pro, etc.). For a full breakdown of fees, please reference this help article.

How many pictures can we upload for one comic on a Listing with Photos? Is there a max?

  • One photo is required, and the maximum is five photos.

Will Quicklist be available for comic books?

  • Quicklist will not be available for comic books at the time of launch.

Will hardcover comics be available on the Marketplace?

  • No, we're focusing on DC and Marvel single issues and trade paperbacks at the time of launch. We will continue to expand our catalog and offerings down the road. However, you can list hardcover comics as a Listing with Photos.
