TCGplayer Fraud Protection Policy

TCGplayer protects Buyers and Sellers from fraud on our platform in the following ways:


Payment Protection

On the platform, we utilize state-of-the-art fraud detection processes and a Loss Prevention Team to help stop fraudulent orders from occurring. 

As a Buyer, your orders are processed through TCGplayer and your payment information is not shared with sellers. You can shop risk-free, knowing your information is safe and only used by TCGplayer for order processing.  

As a Seller, you can process orders for shipment with confidence. You will never be contacted by TCGplayer asking you to refund an order due to fraud.  

As a Seller or a Buyer, if you feel that your information has been compromised, please contact us here.


Lost Packages

As a Buyer, if your package doesn’t arrive or goes missing, you’re always protected by our TCGplayer Safeguard (formerly Buyer Safeguard). To report a missing package, please follow the steps in our missing order/package help file.

As a Seller, simply follow our shipment tracking rules to protect against any lost order claims. If you have a Buyer report a missing package, please follow these steps for resolution.

For non-U.S. domestic orders, TCGplayer provides guidance to minimize fraud and other losses.  Please follow our International Shipping Guidelines.


Order Was Not as Expected

As a Buyer, if the order you receive is different from what you purchased, our team will help you get a refund or replacement. Simply follow our TCGplayer Safeguard.

As a Seller or a Buyer, if you feel that you have encountered fraudulent activity (including potential counterfeits), please contact us here and we will be more than happy to research the issue for you and help you resolve it.
