How do I list Japanese Pokémon?
You can list Japanese Pokémon products in the Inventory Tab the same way you would list any other product. For more information, please reference How do I list individual products?. If you are a Level 4 seller, you have the ability to upload lists of products at once using CSVs with the Pricing Tab in the Seller Portal. This is the best way to efficiently upload large quantities of inventory at once. For more information, check out Importing and Exporting CSVs to Mass Update Prices and Quantities.
What is the product line titled in the Seller Portal?
Japanese Pokémon inventory can be found under the product line titled Pokemon Japan in the Seller Portal.
How do I add Japanese Pokémon inventory in the Pricing Tab?
To add Japanese Pokémon inventory in the Pricing Tab, select "Pokemon Japan" as the category and then click "Advanced Filters" and then "All Languages" from the Language dropdown and click "Apply Filters."
Will the TCGplayer mobile app be able to identify Japanese Pokémon cards?
At this time, the TCGplayer mobile app is unable to identify Japanese Pokémon. To list this inventory, you can either individually add products in the Inventory Tab or upload CSVs for large quantities using the Pricing Tab (available for Level 4 sellers).
Will Quicklist be able to identify Japanese Pokémon cards?
At this time, Quicklist is unable to identify Japanese Pokémon. To list this inventory, you can either individually add products in the Inventory Tab or upload CSVs for large quantities using the Pricing Tab (available for Level 4 sellers).
Will Roca be able to identify Japanese Pokémon cards?
At this time, Roca is unable to identify Japanese Pokémon. To list this inventory, you can either individually add products in the Inventory Tab or upload CSVs for large quantities using the Pricing Tab (available for Level 4 sellers).
When will all the sets be available on the marketplace?
We are gradually adding Japanese Pokémon sets to the marketplace, and new releases will be added as they become available.
What are the key differences between listing an English Pokémon card and a Japanese one?
The key difference is that Japanese and English Pokémon sets are not a 1:1 match. Some cards, sets, and promotional items are exclusive to Japan and may not have an English counterpart. Additionally, Japanese releases often include unique promos and special edition cards that are not available in English-language sets.
Do I need to know the Japanese names of Pokémon (e.g., Charmander is called Hitokage) to search or list Japanese cards?
At this time, Pokémon names will remain in English. Japanese characters are currently not supported on TCGplayer, so all listings and card names will continue to use their English versions.
Can I search for Pokémon cards using the Japanese language?
No. At this time, Japanese characters are not supported on TCGplayer.
Will international buyers purchase from me if I list a card in Japanese?
If you have international sales enabled, it is possible international buyers will purchase your inventory.
What will happen to existing Listings with Photos Japanese Pokémon listings?
We recommend you turn your Japanese Pokémon Listings with Photos into regular listings.
